GIL conducted an Orientation Session for aspirants of GIL Balochistan SDG Challenge Cup 2021. The orientation session was conducted in the UOB Main Auditorium. It was an open and free session attended by students from various departments of UOB and other institutions of Balochistan. Guidance and Q/A session was held by Arslan Badini (Admin Officer GIL) who also briefely explained Sustainable Development Goals and efforts for its accomplishments at regional level. The complete procedure of participation was guided to the attendees. Dr Waheed Noor (Director ORIC and GIL) also took the stage to encourage the attendees and answer questions.

On 4-10-2021 Representative of Ministry of IT, Government of Pakistan, Engg. Mohammad Arif visited GIL as part of his visit to Quetta. He appreciated the on going projects of GIL while receiving demonstrations of projects using the latest tools and technologies including 3D printing Map of Balochistan, Smart dustbin, Smart vehicle alert and counting system, Smart garbage analysis system and Smart Helmet for the coal mining works. He also received brief explaination on Sustainable Development Goals and efforts for its accomplishments in the region through GIL.
