On 30/11/2021 at 1.00 P.M. an online consultative meeting was held between Environment Department, Government Innovation Lab, UoB, and Representatives from Enviro Pak to establish Ambient Air Quality Network for Balochistan. GIL’s Smart Air Quality Monitoring Kit was the center of discussion as it provides all necessary features for the purpose in a sustainable way. Moreover, it will also help to replace the import of such machines. The kit can provide real-time data for Air Quality Monitoring, planning, and management. The environmental kit, if deployed, is also capable of providing localized Air Quality readings to the citizens, policymakers, and other stakeholders on their smartphones. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the host, Environment Department, and it was decided that an in-person meeting will be called where technical specifications and way forward will be discussed and decided.
